Being Heathen in the modern age.

Good afternoon, and I hope that at the time of you finding this you are well, and are not in need of anything. That the world is still amazing place, and full of magic and wonder! Keep your positivity!

This is a short blog to remind our people, and any other Heathen out there, even those looking into this way of life, that this age can make it very daunting, or turn you away from finding your spiritual path. We do not want that to happen to anyone, your path is for you, and we seek community to share in our experiences, build each other up and share knowledge, even to form friendships.

This is the internet age, where we are so connected to people across the world at any given second. It truly is awesome, when we consider what we can be capable of when we use it the right way. With that being said, we can not control what others do, however we can control who and what we interact with, and how we respond and feel about these things.

With certain social media platforms we see a surge in members, as well as drama, grief and gatekeeping. I want to remind everyone to not let that get to you, yes it can be hard to deal with at times, and I myself have even stepped into things that I can not stop, but felt the need to stand up, at the end of the day, It wont change. This is 2022, we do not have the villages anymore and small communities where local punishment would handle it.

Do you feel that empowerment, the inspiration, the magic when you are walking the woods, or a beach, or thinking of a wolf chasing the moon? Do you still feel that deep resonating familiarity when you think of the old world? Is there still a magic to you when you garden, or tell stories?

This is what many of us have to focus in on feeling. No one can or should try to dictate our path, or bully someone out of it. Ages ago people traveled and assimilated, joined other cultures and much more. The same rule applies today. You are heathen!

We are shed wisdom from Odin, many other teachings as well, Do not let anyone bring you down, or make you a target that they gain pleasure in harassing. We are better then that, and must lead by example.

So to anyone going through any of the negativity, cast it aside, focus on yourself, and your people you choose to build with. We are on Midgard for a often short, and once off time. Lets make the best of it, empower each other, teach where we can, inspire each other, and keep our faith strong and healthy. The time for change is now, you can do this, we can do this.

Let us raid the community for those who are seeking such a thing! We will fight the negativity with our shields of inspiration, our axes of positivity, and our thirst for knowledge!
